Faith @ World Pride 2023



Equal Voices is inviting Christians to participate in World Pride 2023, taking place in Sydney from February 17 to March 5. This marks the first time World Pride is being held in the southern hemisphere. To learn more about the events planned in collaboration with various groups, be sure to check out Equal Voices' pages.

Some of the initiatives include:

A joint Christian ecumenical booth at Fair Day on February 19th.

Performances by LGBTIQ+ choirs at various church venues in Sydney.

A celebratory Pancake Pride event at Pitt Street Uniting Church on February 21st, featuring food, a service, speakers and discussion.

A Catholic Mass hosted by Rainbow Catholics InterAgency and Acceptance Sydney to mark its 50th anniversary jubilee on February 24th.

An Ecumenical Mardi Gras group from different Christian communities marching in the Mardi Gras Parade on February 25th.

A potential performance by Pirate Church on February 26th at Pitt Street Uniting Church.

A possible Queer Faith celebration led by the Pentecostal community.

A Multi-faith Gathering to celebrate together and address common issues.

Pitt Street Uniting Church will also serve as a World Pride Christian Hub, providing a central location for faith events and support in the heart of the CBD. Additionally, there are plans for an online exhibition showcasing queer people of faith.
