This dataset is curated by Q Spirit, which promotes LGBTQ+ spirituality through the lens of saints, history, art, and literature. The project fosters religious and artistic freedom by expanding the meaning of holiness for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning people of faith and their allies.
The Q Spirit project was founded by lesbian Christian author Kittredge Cherry. A dedicated minister and historian, Kittredge launched Jesusinlove.org in 2005 before transitioning to Q Spirit in 2016, driven by her personal journey toward inclusive spirituality.
