Sophia dances with Creation

Proverbs gives us this beautiful image: I was beside him, a master worker, playing before him always, delighting in the human race. (Proverbs 8:30-31). Wisdom—Sophia—laughs and spins as the universe is born. God’s joy is in every star and every drop of water. Maybe that’s our invitation too: to find delight in the world, and to care for it with gentle hands.

Stardust and Wonder

The Psalmist looks up and wonders, O LORD, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:1, 9). We’re tiny, but somehow, we matter. We’re stardust, but we’re also loved. That’s humbling—and it calls us to look after each other and the world around us.
