"Death to Australia": Heavy Machinery Used in Terror-Linked Vandalism Attack

In a chilling overnight assault on Melbourne’s heritage, vandals utilized heavy machinery to systematically dismantle the historic Pioneer monument. Erected in 1871, the landmark now lies in ruins, its base defaced with the hateful slogan “Death to Australia.”

The destruction didn't stop there. The nearby Separation Memorial was targeted with red paint and the "red triangle"—a chilling symbol associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.

"Defacing city assets will not be tolerated. Every time a monument is damaged, it is the ratepayer who foots the bill," stated Lord Mayor Nick Reece.

Victoria Police are currently reviewing CCTV and dashcam footage from the West Melbourne area between 10pm Wednesday and 6am Thursday.
