Heavenly Light Shine Upon Us

"“Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”"

As the sun sets and the day's hustle recedes, we find ourselves at the threshold of quiet reflection. In Ephesians 5:1-2, we are reminded to follow God's example as dearly loved children. This is an invitation to pause and embrace the love that has been offered to us through Christ. The day's busyness may have left us feeling fragmented, yet in this sacred moment, we can gather our thoughts and hearts. Let the fragrance of Christ's love, a sweet offering to God, waft through our weary souls, drawing us back to the essence of love that defines our very being.

In this Moment of Examen, let us take a breath and invite the Holy Spirit to illuminate our hearts. Where have we seen God today? In the laughter of a friend, the kindness of a stranger, or perhaps in the stillness of a quiet moment? As we reflect, let us also acknowledge the times we may have strayed from love, clinging instead to impatience or frustration. Each encounter, each emotion, serves as a reminder of our journey towards embodying the love of Christ. Let us hold these moments tenderly, for they are woven into the fabric of our days, guiding us closer to the heart of God.

As we prepare to surrender to the night, let us release our worries and burdens. The cares of the day can weigh heavy on our minds, but we are invited to lay them down before our loving Father. In this sacred space, we offer our fears and anxieties, trusting that He will hold them through the night. May we close our eyes with the assurance that we are cradled in divine love, each breath drawing us deeper into peace. Let us rest knowing that we are cherished, and tomorrow is a new dawn, filled with the promise of His grace.
