Twilight Grace: Embracing Divine Love's Light

"“Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.”"

As the sun dips below the horizon and the busy day begins to fade, we are invited to pause and reflect on the choices we've made. The words from Amos echo in our hearts, urging us to seek good and reject the shadows of evil that may have crept into our thoughts or actions today. In this stillness, let us acknowledge both the triumphs and the struggles we faced, for in every moment, God offers us the chance to align ourselves with His goodness. As we transition into the quiet of the evening, may we carry with us the intention to live fully in His light, trusting that His presence is ever near.

In this Moment of Examen, let us gently turn our gaze inward and seek the presence of God throughout our day. Where did we encounter His goodness? In a kind word exchanged, a helping hand offered, or perhaps in the beauty of nature that surrounded us? Conversely, where did we fall short? Did we allow negativity to cloud our judgments or miss opportunities to act justly? Let us not dwell in shame but instead invite God's mercy to wash over us, as we recognize that each moment is a chance for renewal and growth. He is with us in our reflections, guiding us to seek justice and love in all aspects of our lives.

As we prepare to lay down for the night, we release our worries and burdens into the hands of the One who holds all things. Let each concern that clings to our hearts be transformed into a prayer, a whisper of trust in God's providence. We recognize that tomorrow brings new opportunities to seek good, to love deeply, and to act justly. In this sacred moment of surrender, we find peace in knowing that we are not alone, for the Lord God Almighty is with us, watching over us as we rest. May His comfort envelop us, and may we awaken renewed, ready to walk in His ways once more.

Peace to those who are far off, and to those who are near. We gather our hearts in gratitude, O Lord, as we seek Your presence in our lives. Lighten our darkness, Lord, and guide our steps in the path of righteousness. Grant us the strength to hate what is evil and to love what is good, that we may embody Your justice in all that we do. As we close this day, may Your mercy surround the remnant of Joseph and all who seek You. Amen.
