"For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want."

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. Let us take a moment to reflect on this internal struggle and ask for guidance from the Spirit.

"Heavenly Father, help us to discern the desires of our flesh from the guidance of your Spirit. Give us the strength to overcome our sinful nature and follow your will. Guide us in our thoughts, words, and actions today, so that we may live according to your ways. Amen."
