In recent public discourse, we have witnessed an increase in hyperbolic rhetoric surrounding gender—language often designed to spark fear rather than foster understanding. It is vital to recognize that much of this intensity is not about protecting truth, but about enforcing a narrow, singular view of the human experience.

As progressive Christians, we ground our perspective in a different story. We believe that the diversity of gender is not a modern "issue" to be debated, but a reflection of God’s expansive and wonderful creation. Just as the dawn and the dusk exist between day and night, the spectrum of gender reflects the infinite creativity of a Creator who cannot be contained by simple binaries.

When we honor the lived experiences of all people, we are honoring the Imago Dei—the image of God—within them. We invite you to move past the noise of political posturing and join us in a theology that makes room for everyone at the table.
