Faithful Witness: The Martyrs of Japan

6 February 2026

The Martyrs of Japan were a group of brave individuals who faced persecution and even death for their unwavering faith in Christ. They stood firm in the face of extreme adversity, refusing to renounce their beliefs despite the severe consequences. Their courage and steadfastness serve as a powerful example to all believers, inspiring us to remain faithful in our own walk with the Lord, no matter the challenges we may face.

The Collect for Today

"Heavenly Father, we thank you for the example of the Martyrs of Japan, who remained steadfast in their faith even unto death. Grant us the same courage and perseverance to stand firm in our beliefs, even when faced with opposition. May their sacrifice not be in vain, but serve as a testament to the power of faith in you. Amen."
