The Cloud of Witnesses
Janani Luwum was the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda from 1974 to 1977. He was known for his outspoken criticism of the Idi Amin regime and his advocacy for human rights. He was martyred in 1977 for his beliefs.
As the leader of the Anglican Church in Uganda, Janani Luwum played a crucial role in the fight against injustice and oppression. He was a symbol of hope and courage for many, and his legacy continues to inspire generations to come.
🙏 Let us honor the memory of Janani Luwum, Archbishop, by actively working towards justice and peace in our own lives and communities. Let us be bold in standing up for those who are marginalized and oppressed, just as he did.
