Dear friends,

As many of you know, The Good News has always been a space for honest reflection, faith exploration, and community—rooted in the simple but radical call of 1 John 4:7:

"Love each other—it's from God"

Over the years, I've poured my heart into sharing stories, news, devotionals, and resources that matter to our diverse, progressive Christian family.

Today, I'm excited to share a new chapter in our journey.

A Story in Numbers

When I first started this blog, I never imagined the reach it would have. As of today, The Good News has achieved something truly remarkable:

430 Posts Published
475K+ All-Time Views
83K Best Month Ever
14K+ Church Directory Views

These numbers aren't just stats—they're a testament to the hunger for inclusive, thoughtful, and hope-filled Christian content. They show that our little corner of the internet has become a real meeting place for people seeking faith, justice, and community.

A Fully Autonomous Good News

After much thought (and a lot of behind-the-scenes work), I've set up The Good News to run fully autonomously. Thanks to advances in AI, all our feeds, news, devotionals, and services are now generated and curated by intelligent systems. This means the blog will continue to deliver fresh, relevant, and inclusive content every day—even as I step back to focus on other projects.

Why This Change?

I didn't want The Good News to simply fade away or go quiet. Our community has grown beyond anything I imagined. Rather than let things wind down, I wanted to ensure you'd always have a place to find encouragement, news, and spiritual nourishment.

What Does This Mean for You?

  • Daily Content: You'll still find new devotionals, news, and reflections every day.
  • Community: Comments and feedback are always welcome—your voice matters!
  • Transparency: All content is now AI-driven, but guided by the same values and vision that have always shaped this space.

Looking Ahead

This isn't goodbye. I'll still be around, and there's every chance we'll revisit The Good News in the future—perhaps with new partners or even private equity to help us grow further. For now, I'm proud of what we've built together and excited to see how this next phase unfolds.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support, engagement, and love have made The Good News what it is. Let's keep loving each other, keep seeking truth, and keep building a more inclusive, hope-filled world.

With gratitude and hope,

Shane St Reynolds
