Triumph in the Spirit Realm

Last week I took a trip interstate - half was pro bono work, the other half a trial to a place I went back to settle the ledger and close it off. It was once a dark place that spoke to my past. I was not prepared but ready - God and the seraphim beside me as I entered the place where God said I would never perish, for no weapon forged against me would prevail. 

They humiliated me and schemed my end, weaving pagan curses—warlocks and witches reaching to snuff my light. Lord, have mercy! Tears traced my face, yet the inner flame only burned more brightly. Then the unseen broke through: seraphic wings unfurled, the air trembled with holy radiance, and an otherworldly luminescence filled the room—this was not of my calling but of the Spirit. They tried to disarm me and demand silence of the Word, but I did not need to speak; God's presence answered, angels stood guard, and the darkness could not prevail.

The greatest spiritual fight, like Job looking the devil in the eye - there I was. I realized the hate that was being spewed onto me for hours upon hours could not pierce my soul for the prayers in my mind, the teachers that came, the angels that visited, the God of all peace that had His hand beside me. The angels that kept the ledger witnessed that which had happened.

No harm overtook me, for God commanded His angels to protect me. He lifted me up into their hands so my foot tread on no stone. Because He loves me, He rescued me and protected me. I acknowledged His name, I called upon Him and He answered me. He delivered me, honored me, and showed me salvation. Matthew 11:28 shielded me upon leaving that den.

But the angels now have an account - they now know the faces, the names, the places, the plans. Plans that will not prevail! The court of heaven has convened, and justice will triumph. The peace of God endures.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for Your protection and deliverance. Thank You for being our shield and fortress, for sending Your angels to guard us in times of trouble. We praise You for Your unfailing love that rescues us from the darkness and lifts us up on eagle's wings.

Lord, just as You were with Daniel in the lion's den and with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, we thank You for being with us in our trials. Help us to stand firm in faith, knowing that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.

May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
