Blessings of Love and Peace Tonight.
FEBRUARY 12, 2026
"“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”"
— 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7As we wind down after a long day, let's take a moment to reflect on the profound nature of love as expressed in Scripture. 1 Corinthians 13: 6-7 reminds us that love is not only about warm feelings or romantic gestures but embodies a deeper truth rooted in integrity and resilience.
When it says, 'Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth,' it challenges us to examine the motivations behind our interactions. Do we uplift each other with honesty, or are we sometimes quick to gossip or indulge in negativity? Love asks us to embrace the truth, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be, and empower others with authenticity.
The subsequent phrases—'It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres'—paint a picture of unwavering commitment. True love doesn't give up easily; it stands firm, shelters the vulnerable, and believes in the goodness of people even when circumstances seem bleak. This depth of love mirrors the unconditional, steadfast love God shows us.
As we delve into the essence of these verses, let us be reminded that love is an active choice, a powerful force that binds us to one another and encourages us to be better than we were yesterday. In a world seemingly fraught with division and despair, may we choose to extend a heart of love, grounded in truth, to everyone we encounter.
Heavenly Father, as I come before You this evening, I thank You for Your unyielding love that sets the standard for how I am to love others. Help me see the truth in every situation and guide my heart to protect and trust those around me. Teach me to always hope, especially in challenging times, and to persevere when the road gets tough. May my love reflect Your grace and truth in a world that so desperately needs it. Amen.
