Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

18 February 2026

During this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, we reflect on the importance of unity among believers. Unity is not just a concept or an ideal, but a command from our Lord Jesus Christ. In John 17:21, Jesus prays for all believers to be one, just as He and the Father are one. This unity is not uniformity, but a deep bond of love and fellowship that transcends denominational differences and cultural barriers. As we pray and work for Christian unity, let us remember that it is a journey that requires humility, patience, and a willingness to listen and learn from one another.

The Collect for Today

"Heavenly Father, we come before you during this Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, seeking your guidance and grace. Help us to lay aside our differences and come together in love and unity, just as you have commanded. Give us the strength to work towards reconciliation and understanding with our brothers and sisters in Christ. May our unity be a witness to the world of your love and power. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."

🙏 Let us actively seek opportunities to build bridges with other Christians, to engage in dialogue and collaboration, and to pray for unity in our communities and churches. Let us remember that unity is not just a goal to achieve, but a continuous process of growing together in Christ.
