Standing in Solidarity: A Call to Prayer for Iran and the Middle East

Dear friends,

Many of you will have seen the unfolding events in Iran and across the Middle East. The situation is serious and fragile, and there is real fear of further violence and instability. As followers of Jesus, our first response is prayer.

Pray for Protection in Iran

Pray for ordinary people — families, children, the elderly — who are living with fear and uncertainty. Ask God to protect civilians and to restrain further violence across the region.

Pray for Peace and De-escalation

Pray that this conflict does not escalate into wider war. Ask God to raise up wise and courageous leaders who choose de-escalation, justice, and mercy during these tense times.

Pray for the Church in the Middle East

Pray for Christian communities across Iran and the Middle East — especially for our sisters and brothers in the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East, including the Diocese of Iran. Pray for pastors, priests, and believers that they would be strengthened in faith, courage, and hope.

“Blessed are the peacemakers.” In anxious days, we anchor ourselves in him, the Prince of Peace.

Let us pray that even in this dark moment, God’s purposes of peace and renewal will prevail.
