Morning Prayer for Ascension Sunday

MARCH 5, 2026

"Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'""

— John 20:17

As we awaken to a new day, let us remember the words of Jesus: 'Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.' These words remind us of the promise of connection between us and the divine.

THE DAILY PRAYER

"Dear Lord, thank You for the gift of this new day and for the promise of Your ascension. Help us to embrace the journey ahead with faith and courage. May we share the joy of Your resurrection with those around us, reminding them of Your love and connection to both our Father and theirs. Guide our hearts and minds as we seek to follow in Your footsteps and spread Your message of hope."
