Strength in the Quiet Heart
SATURDAY, MARCH 7, 2026
"In built-up quietness and in trust shall be your strength."
— Isaiah 30:15As the sun sets on this Saturday, we stand at the threshold of the Lord’s Day. The week’s noise often creates a clutter in our spirits, making it hard to hear the gentle whisper of grace. Today’s verse reminds us that our greatest power doesn't come from our frantic efforts, but from a "built-up quietness."
Tonight, we begin the process of decompressing. We lay down the tools of our trade and the worries of the week. By choosing quietness now, we prepare the soil of our hearts to receive the Word in tomorrow’s service. Trust is the bridge that carries us from the labor of the week into the rest of the Sabbath.
"Lord of the Sabbath, still my heart tonight. Wash away the stress of the past six days. Help me lay aside my to-do lists so that I may enter Your house tomorrow with expectancy and joy. Amen."
