Morning Prayer: Cultivating Generosity and Discipleship

FEBRUARY 23, 2026

"Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.""

Heavenly Father, we come before You this morning, inspired by the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:21. We reflect on the call to perfection and the importance of generosity toward those in need. As we begin our day, we seek to align our hearts with Your will, desiring to follow You with unwavering faith.

THE DAILY PRAYER

"Lord, help us to let go of our attachments to material possessions. Grant us the courage to share with those in need and to find joy in giving. May we be reminded that true treasure lies in heaven, and may our lives reflect Your love and generosity. Guide us as we seek to follow You, being lights in the world around us. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."
