The Heart of the Program

The 2026 program, crafted by the World Day of Prayer Committee of Nigeria, offers a powerful exploration of divine rest amidst systemic oppression, poverty, and religious persecution. Through the moving stories of women like Beatrice, Jato, and Blessing, we are invited to see how God provides rest not just as physical relief, but as a transformative grace found in community.

The Calabash Symbol: The Nigerian committee uses the calabash bowl to represent both our daily sustenance and God's divine provision meeting us in our weariness.
A Prayer for Rest and Solidarity

Lord Jesus, You who call the weary and heavy-laden to find rest in You, we lift our hearts in unity with our sisters in Nigeria. We bring before You the burdens of systemic poverty, the weight of persecution, and the exhaustion of those who feel unheard.

May the calabash of Your grace overflow in our lives. Teach us to share the yoke of our neighbors, to find transformation in Your presence, and to build a world where true rest is the inheritance of all Your children.

AMEN
Special Intercession: Global Peace

In this hour of gathering, we extend our prayers to the borders of Iran and the reaching shadow of conflict involving Israel and the United States. We pray for a divine halting of violence and the protection of every innocent soul.

"Prince of Peace, guide the feet of world leaders into the way of peace. Comfort the fearful, shield the vulnerable, and bring a rest that only You can provide to a world weary of war."
